DRESSAGE PILATES JOURNALISM

About Rebecca

*BHS trained and EA accredited coach (level 1 dressage specialist)

*Qualified pilates instructor Level 3  (UK CYQ )

*Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance and Management , University of Technology, Sydney (Honours in goal setting and time management)

Rebecca has been riding horses her whole life.  For 17 years she worked in financial markets, first as an institutional financial futures broker and then as a trader for the world’s biggest listed hedge fund, both in Australia and in the UK.

Although she enjoyed her frenetic years in the money markets, ten years ago, the time was right for her to quit her corporate career and focus more on her real love, the horse sport. She has been able to take from this financial background a fabulous ability to work well under pressure, very useful for the competition arena! Although having ridden and competed her whole life and having spent time training in Europe, Rebecca is now fully focused on riding, teaching and training others .

SERVICES

Rebecca offers one to one on the horse and/or off the horse work. She is available for clinics internationally or clinic add-ons, talks and presentations. She has been a speaker at Queensland Festival of Dressage, Equidays, NZ and has been called on by state squads to help train riders. Online assessment and programmes are also available.

REBECCA’S TRAINING

With several training stints in Europe under her belt, Rebecca has had the great opportunity of training in some of the best dressage stables.

Pilates has been a big part of her life for 20 years and also brings this training to the dressage arena. It’s amazing how closely the two practices are!

Rebecca is also a Level 3 Oov practitioner.

EQUESTRIAN JOURNALIST

As an equestrian journalist, Rebecca gets to interview people who are top of their game and have so many ideas and information to pass on. This also allows her “backstage” access to the big international shows where she sees the best warmup and helps keep her eye in. Her aim is to pass on all she learns from talking and watching the best in the world.
